Walter Allen is the
Allan Murray Cartter Professor of Higher Education at the UCLA Graduate
School of Education and Information Studies. Allen completed
postdoctoral study in Psycho-Social Epidemiology at the University of
North Carolina-Chapel Hill, a Ph.D. in Sociology from the University of
Chicago, an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Chicago, and a
B.A. in sociology from Beloit College.
