Center for Law and Biomedical Sciences Fellow Laura Anne Taylor is researching the intersection of cloud technology with current federal regulations for electronic health information, including protected health information (PHI) and personal and electronic health records (PHRs and EHRs).  She is authoring a white paper on health data interaction with “the cloud,” which implicates privacy, security, jurisdiction, and other legal issues in the specific context of internet-based remote data storage of protected health information by third-party cloud providers.
