John K. Morris, professor of law, received a B.A. from the University of California at Los Angeles (1966), and a J.D. from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law (1969). Professor Morris clerked for Chief Judge James R. Browning, 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and was a partner with the Los Angeles firm of Morris & Polich. He received the University of Utah Faculty Fellow Curriculum Development Award in 1985. A member of the faculty since 1979, Professor Morris publishes and teaches in the areas of civil procedure, interviewing, counseling and negotiation, professional responsibility, trial advocacy, and insurance.
Professor Morris is general counsel for the University of Utah.
