The Rocky Mountain Innocence Center (RMIC) works to correct and prevent the conviction of innocent people in Utah, Nevada, and Wyoming. RMIC has unique volunteer opportunities for law students in 3 basic categories: Students to assist with Spanish-speaking prisoners (both correspondence and in-person investigative interviews at the prison and in the community).

Students assist attorneys with intakes.  The legal issues tend to focus on small claims, landlord-tenant, employment, discrimination, and consumer matters. Students may be required to do additional follow-up with clients under the direct supervision of attorneys.
