When a new project is assigned to you, you will need to obtain a project number from the Circulation Desk and find out from your editor who will be your consulting librarian for your project. Consult with your librarian before you submit any interlibrary loan requests.
You may submit interlibrary loan requests only for materials that are not available from any of the libraries on our campus or from other alternative sources. All interlibrary loan requests are managed by the ILLiad system which is available via the Quinney Law Library's web site at https://utah.illiad.oclc.org/illiad/uvl/logon.html.
You may ask for books, book chapters, articles, microfiche, videotapes, conference proceedings, etc., and we will attempt to borrow the materials from other libraries. If we are successful, you will be notified by email when the item arrives. If we are not able to locate the item, we will notify you as well.
The individual in your project who is responsible for interlibrary loans should register your project in the ILLiad system. His/Her email address will be used for all of your project's interlibrary loan communications.
Creating a UserID for your project
You need to register as a first time user for each new copywork
project. The standard format for your UserID is made by combining your
journal abbreviation plus your project code. The project code consists
of adding together: year (1,2,3,etc.) + semester (F or S) + project
number.
Some examples of the final UserID: ULR5S11, JLFS5S36, JLREL5F12
Selecting a Status and Department
Status field: Your journal name
