The S.J. Quinney College of law offers you a wide array of network services which you can and ought to take advantage of.
Wireless network connectivity is offered throughout the law school campus. Wired network ports are available in rooms 105, 106, and 107 and can be requested for use at student carrels.
We also provide network storage. Network storage is a very safe place to backup documents. You will have access to both public and private storage on the network. Your private space on the network we refer to as your N: drive. You can store up to 200MB of your data on this drive for safe keeping. To make sharing documents and the like easier for students we have what we call the S: drive. This drive's contents are accessable to all students and faculty. We have special restrictions in place on the S: drive. Please see our "How To" on how to use the S: drive HERE. Currently your network drives are only accessible while on campus but we are very close to having a solution that will change that.
We have 4 student access printers at the law school which are located in the Gibson reading room and in two locations in the law library; two in the computer lab, one at either end, and a third on the second floor next to the north most terminal. Printing is not free but you'll start with $45 of printing credits which comes with your tuition. Beyond that you'll need 10 cents of printing credit for each page. All of our printers are duplex capable. This means they can do 2 sided printing, and because we charge per page it will save you money to take advantage of it. You can buy printing credits at the library circulation desk.
In order to connect to the network storage or to print from your laptop while here on campus you will need to download and use the Logon Client. Check out our "How To" on how to use it HERE.
