Valeri Craigle
Assistant Librarian
Valeri Craigle joined the Library faculty at the S.J. Quinney College of Law in the Spring of 2008. As a specialist in the discovery of and access to scholarly research, particularly in the digital environment, Valeri oversees the Library's Technical Services Department and has spearheaded a number of digital initiatives aimed at preserving and making electronically accessible the scholarship produced at the College of Law.
Prior to her career as a Law Librarian, Valeri was a Medical Librarian at the Spencer S. Eccles Helath Sciences Library and a Project Manager for the Neuro-Ophthalmology Virtual Education Libary (NOVEL).
Prior to her career as a Librarian, she worked as a Forensic Anthropologist for the Utah State Office of the Medical Examiner.

Special Projects
College of Law Centennial Photographs Collection. Class reunions, alumni events, photographs of past Deans and Jurors in residence are all contained in this digitla photographs collection that spans a century of service at the University of Utah College of Law, which celebrates its centennial in 2013.
Global Justice Project - Iraq – The Global Justice Project: Iraq provides advisory and capacity-building assistance to the Government of Iraq in support of judicial independence and constitutional and legislative development. GJPI is committed to the rule of law and a democratic, stable Iraq. (Principal Librarian)
College of Law E-Publications - The University of Utah College of Law in partnership with the J. Willard Marriott Library implemented an open access e-publishing service which began with materials published by the Law School, including the Utah Law Review, the Journal of Land, resources, and Environmental Law, and the Journal of Family Studies. The project sets the stage for other journals on campus to publish in an open, electronic environment.
College of Law Scholarly Electronic Archive – An archive of College publications which now includes college
journals and will eventually include faculty publications was created to permanently preserve the materials at the institution and make them globally accessible.
Integrated Library System Migration, Link resolver, and Discovery Layer Implementation – The University
of Utah Libraries, Including the Quinney Law Library, conducted a migration of their ILS system from Horizon to Aleph in 2008-2009. Prior to this extensive project, the three libraries also implemented a new Link resolver system and implemented a discovery layer to the catalog and other library resources called Primo.
