Sam Stephenson
Academic Coordinator for Student Services
Sam has been a member of the law school staff since 2006, when he began working as a part-timer in the Law Copy Center. In 2010, he completed his B.S. in Mathematics from the U of U and shortly thereafter was hired as the Academic Coordinator for Student Services, serving as assistant to the Associate Dean for Student Affairs and the Registrar.
Sam has a wide range of responsibilities but especially enjoys working with the student organizations and providing the data analysis for class and exam schedules.
Sam grew up in the Avenues near the University loving all things U of U, and feels very fortunate to work at his alma mater. In his spare time, Sam enjoys studying mathematics and puzzle solving. His favorite types of puzzles are called “twisty puzzles,” e.g., Rubik’s cube-type puzzles. One day Sam would like to take his love of puzzles to the next level and pursue a Ph.D in mathematics. Sam and his wife, Allie, delight in the Utah outdoors especially hiking, biking, and swimming.
