Austin Riter
Adjunct Associate Professor of Law
Austin Riter teaches Federal Courts and is also a litigation attorney at the law firm of Parr, Brown, Gee & Loveless. Prior to joining Parr Brown, Mr. Riter served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Paul G. Cassell, U.S. District Judge for the U.S. District of Utah; the Honorable Jennifer W. Elrod, U.S. Circuit Court Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit; and the Honorable Milan D. Smith, Jr., U.S. Circuit Court Judge for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Riter received his B.A. from Yale University, summa cum laude, in 2003, where he also served as President of the Yale Chapter of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Utah S.J. Quinney College of Law, where he was Editor-in-Chief of the Utah Law Review. He clerked for Parr Brown during the summers of 2005 and 2006 before graduating in 2007 with highest honors, Order of the Coif, and as a William H. Leary Scholar.
