is pleased to announce its

4th Annual

Student-Alumni Golf Tournament

Friday, October 5, 2007 | 4:00 pm | University Golf Course

SBA's 4th Annual Golf Tournament is just two weeks away! The event is open to all College of Law students, faculty/staff, and alumni. The cost is $10 for students* ... $20 for all others.

The format is a 9-hole, 4-person scramble ... shotgun start. At this point we anticipate slots for 44 players. Prizes will be awarded for lowest team score and for contests such as longest drive and closest to the hole.

You can register as early as today (individually or as a foursome) by sending an e-mail to Jeremy Blain (blainj@law.utah.edu) indicating the player name/s and anything else that might be relevant. Entry fees (checks only) can be submitted via the SBA box in the front office. Please make your check payable to SBA.

Flyers and additional reminders will be coming soon, but if you have any questions e-mail Jeremy or post your thoughts on the 'Golf' forum on Joe. (Log on > click on 'Joe Forums' on the left > click 'Forum' from the drop-down menu > choose 'Students' > 'Student Activities' > and then 'Golf').

To the class of 2008,

For those of you who may have missed Outro Week before school started, Outro Friday will be held on Friday, September 28, 2007 at 12:15 p.m. in the Moot Courtroom.

The schedule will be as follows:

12:15-1:15   Introduction: Joni Seko, Utah State Bar
1:15-2:15     Completing the Application Step by Step
                    Application is downloadable at                      http://www.utahbar.org/admissions/Assets/app.dot
2:15 +          Passport Sized Photos ($10 charge)
                    These photos will be posted on your bar card, so dress accordingly.

Unfortunately, we have not been able to secure on-site fingerprints. However, we will give you detailed information about how to get fingerprints elsewhere. (The Utah State Bar advises students to give the FBI approximately 20 weeks to process their fingerprints. However, students who requested expedited fingerprints during Outro Week have already begun receiving their cards back. It appears time remains to get fingerprints returned.)
