Internal Revenue Service/Growing Assets and Income Now (GAIN) Coalition will be speaking about volunteering in January. 

 

GAIN volunteers are trained in simple tax law with an emphasis on credits available for low-income people.  The GAIN sites are located in Community Centers and are in targeted neighborhoods.  Returns are prepared and elextronically filed using Tax Wise software.  GAIN is a valuable service that saves low-income tax payers the cost of paying a professional preparer and ensures they will receive all credits for which they are eligible for. 

 

Students will receive PBI hours for the online training or you can attend free training classes. 

 

Location sites are in West Valley, Redwood, Copperview, Tooele, Magna, Salt Lake and more.
