The Journal of Law and Family Studies (JLFS) is an interdisciplinary journal addressing a broad range of empirical and doctrinal topics concerning families, family relationships, and the law. JLFS explores issues in family and juvenile law as well as other family-related issues relevant to public policy. JLFS is published at least twice a year, and membership is determined by a summer writing competition.
The Journal of Law and Family Studies welcomes submission of articles and empirical studies of interest. JLFS publishes articles from the legal community and from related disciplines, including sociology, psychology, economics, family and consumer studies, and history.
All submissions should conform to the Bluebook: A Uniform System of Citation (18th ed. 2005) and/or Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (5th ed. 2001). According to the editorial policy of JLFS, the JLFS Board of Editors will strive to maintain the text of published articles in their original format, editing only for accuracy and, where necessary, clarity.
